Created out of marble, fine
crafted, exquisite detail
features rounded, yet defined
tall, curved, shapely
yet containing more warmth than stone.

You sit on my desk
in full coloured detail
watching, waiting
or am I?
Do I see longing in those eyes?

My mind recalls you
your face’s every detail
creating dreams from my wants
with you at their center
selfishly desiring something not to be owned.

Should I give up
forget every small detail?
Or should I pursue and risk shattering
the stone of your body,
the dreams of my mind?
