Sore seraph, Thine

Mortal broken god
on severed leg
and twisted knee
pleading, reaching, grasping
skyward whispers
"Sore seraph, Thine";
collapses unto earth.

Summer Rains

Warm water from above
Splashing in the puddles on the road;
on the leaves of trees and flowers.
Falling on two lovers
Enjoying the time before its over;
the two leave for home
Cherishing the love they shared
In the company of summer rains.

Refreshing sprinkles from the skies
A shower to break the heat
to dance under in celebration
uninterrupting, welcomed
A warm summer rain.

Memories in Moonlight

Walking hand in hand
underneath the full moon
sharing thoughts,
feelings,
love for one another,
on a special summer night
the kiss in the woods that kept us warm
under the watching moon.

Laying on the beach
underneath the half moon
loving one another
in total seclusion,
making special promises
of love forever
and ever
under the silent moon.

The Lonely Snowflake

The lonely snowflake falls,
borne aloft by the wind,
tossed and buffeted every moment
by unfriendly currents.
But its journey continues
its destiny set
to wander and float
and melt away on the earth.
And how often it strives
to change the course
never succeeding, always destined
as if actions were meaningless.
No others are with it
but it wants companions
it finds few, they drift away
and yet the snowflake falls.

silhouette

White backdrop, you sit
intently absorbed by your thoughts.
Classically sculpted, straight-backed
gentle curves, eyes flashing.
You turn your head, smile, turn back
a perfect silhouette.
O! to capture that picture
but alas, my hand fails me.

The Color of a Broken Heart

Emptiness,
A hollow, dormant feeling;
The result of a love, lost
Gone forever.

Jealousy,
A strong hatred, resentment;
For the one who took your love
Gone forever.

Anger,
A conflict of your thoughts
Why, how could you let her leave
Gone forever.

Purple,
A mixture of feelings
Coloring your mind.
The emptiness, jealousy, anger.
The color of a broken heart.

Sadness,
A lonesome, thoughtful state
Reflecting upon emotions, lost
Gone forever.

A box on my doorstep

A box on my doorstep
it's a curious looking box
an odd shape; yet familiar
an interesting little box.

I bring it inside and study it further
I recognise it, but somehow it's different.

I shake it;
it rattles.

I tap it;
taps echo.

It won't open,
but yet I know the catch.
I pull, I tug, I rip,
but still the box is closed.
Slashes I have to put in,
but I know not to damage it;
It is special.

We Talk

We talk,
Not through words, but through our actions.
We listen,
Not with ears, but with our eyes
(watching each other ever so closely).
We feel,
Not with our hands, but through our minds
(a sort of link that keeps us together).

Though we are ever far apart
we seem to know each other more than anyone
who shares this sort of feeling could ever imagine
the way we know and love one another.

I Will go to Hawaii

I will go to Hawaii
With all Godspeed
Carrying my life in my arms
Looking at all around
The stars,
the deep blue sky,
the bright yellow sun,
hearing the waves crash on the beach behind me.

I will go to Hawaii
Feeling the salt spray whipping through my hair
the sand pelting my back
the sun beating on my face
the grass tickling my bare feet
Smelling the sweet scents in the breeze

I will go to Hawaii
With all Godspeed
and waiting; for my future has come.

Statuette

Created out of marble, fine
crafted, exquisite detail
features rounded, yet defined
tall, curved, shapely
yet containing more warmth than stone.

You sit on my desk
in full coloured detail
watching, waiting
or am I?
Do I see longing in those eyes?

My mind recalls you
your face’s every detail
creating dreams from my wants
with you at their center
selfishly desiring something not to be owned.
